    MPG 1 Demuxer

    Hi Everyone.

I wanted to convert some mpg files to sorenson 3. The audio in these files is muxed. Whenever I try to convert them using quicktime, cleaner or squeeze, the video track encodes and the audio is lost.

Does anyone know how to do it?

    Thankyou for any help.

    Peace,
    xale

Try first converting the audiostream to WAV or a format that Mac recognizes like AIFF

how can xale convert the audio first without demux the mpeg?
      (please,correct me if i'm wrong)

      @ xale

if i right understood you want to demux the mpeg.
you can do using tolls - simple demux with tmpgenc.

      regards for all

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain properly.

I have these files which are actually .mov files, but are encoded using MPEG1 Muxed (as shown in the movie info in quicktime)

So, I don't know how to demux them. Presumably once they are demuxed I can encode them to sorenson 3 or something else using quicktime or squeeze?

            Thanks again.
