How to convert Divx to VHS ?

Hi people, does anybody know how to convert DivX to VHS ? The signal goes in the svhs-cable, which is adapted to vhs by the scart.
The picture is always black&white. Do you know how to activate the missing colors ???
Yes this is the special request for also special purposes. Nothing ordinary. But if you can help, thanks folks ... Bob

Yeah, try to send a de-interlaced signal to a VCR ...

The problem is probably because you're trying to record with a regular VCR. Only S-VHS machines "get" a S-Video signal. You have to use a composite signal instead.

Hi, I'm using another way to record it to VHS. At first I convert movie to VCD and when I play it on the standalone DVD player I record it on VHS recorder simultaneously. DVD player is required, of course .
