I just wanted to relay my experience.I had about 6 avi files I wanted to convert to dvd so my first step was to check them out with GSpot 2 passed 4 video codec not installed.Decided to run them through Avi2Dvd anyway HcEnc agreed with GSpot. After some other stuff which would take too long to relay.Decide to uninstall everything and with the aid of anonymez's list install only what is on it but this time install AviCodec. It tells me I am good to go.Put files through Avi2Dvd/HcEnc no go.After a lot of messing around trying to re-install GSpot while still trying to keep AviCodec delete AviCodec and install GSpot.Check files same thing.Check through HcEnc same thing.I don't know why I decided to ignore this because I had everything necessary to complete my task give Avi2Dvd/NuEnc a try.Every Single file no problem and plays fine in standalone. You decide did I waste my time going through all the uninstall/reinstall when I could have ignored GSpot and HcEnc and just tried one of the other 4 encoders that Avi2Dvd has.One thing I did find out purely by accident now I know Avi2Dvd has a job queue but if you put the files through individually and don't rename the temp file it just adds it to the same video ts file & iso image so you can burn 2 or 3 onto 1 dvd.
Uninstall/ReInstall Was It A waste Of Time?
