Greetings,
I have been having a spot of trouble, and I decided to post in these forums for help. I simply have no other place to turn for a solution to this incredibly baffling problem.
My problem is this: on most of the encodes I have made
in the past, I have always used a signature watermark.
I do this so others will have a more difficult time
claiming a beautiful encode that I spent a week on
working and tweaking.
Anyways, for some reason I dont understand, I am now
unable to use the watermark feature of the AVIOut.
Here is how it started...
One day I began to encode a file that had a seperate
subtitle file. Now this particular one was coded
strangely, such that the subtitles would not appear
properly on screen. I found a FlasK that could
accomplish this feat, the only thing I can remember
about it was it was a 980Kb executable. Anyways, in
my trials to find a workable solution, I installed
your latest version, .6. In and of itself it seemed a
good version, even with good subtitle support, but I
couldnt find the watermark feature (OpenDML out, I was
then unaware of it). Well, long story short, after
using the 980Kb version for a short while, I was
suddenly unable to load a watermark properly.
Everytime I attempted to do so, it would just
instantly revert back to the defualt watermark as soon
as I closed the configure window. I have since tried
nearly every single version of FlasK I can find,
including .6 using the old style AVI-out. Not a
single one of these will work properly.
I am, simply put, at the end of my rope. The thing
that truely baffles me is, about one week ago I
formatted my HD and loaded WinXP (blech ;-p). After
downloading the zip files again, on a clean HD save
the OS, I was faced with the same problem...the
watermark absolutely refuses to work on any version of
FlasK. This really shocked me, as I expected
something had just gone awry under Win98, and maybe
corrupted a file or something. But now, it does it
even under WinXP.
So, no matter what I seem to do or try, I cannot get the watermark to work properly. I am worn out and frusterated with this problem. I would greatly appreciate any and all advice that any of you could give me. I simply am at a loss.
Sincerely,
TastEPlasma
