MPG to AVI: which software?

Hello! I need to convert a .MPG file produced by a Pinnacle media center registration to an .AVI.

Actually I use WINAVI with DIVX codec to convert the .mpg but it stops working at 25%... I do not why!!!

can you suggest me an alternative program? thanks!

Radio, forget those video converters and follow ANON's advice.If u r a beginner I would suggest u try out Staxrip or Auto GK first.
