Oky man
I fallow ur guide step by step. All was ok till the part where i have to set compressibillty check to 5% and pree NOW....but the NOW dont activate.
I press save & encode and all was ok again till i press ADD JOB TO ENCODING QUEQUE and i answer with yes to the question....nothing hapened ....no encoding activity....
I use all ur software except the software for audio. I extract the ac3 file with xmpeg and after i convert that file with ac3 decoder.
If you have an email I can write something and explain what I mean but I don't have the time now. I have seen some small misstakes I will correct later on (alot in school right know ) but the thing I wrote should still work.
My e-mail is remusb@xnet.ro
Do u think that is a problem if i use xmpeg to extract directly vbr mp3?Or i must tu exctract ac3 first and after to convert to mp3?
It shouldn't be a problem which way you convert your audio one because it doesn't effect GKnot since you should not multiplex the audio and video with GKnot. But when you're going to do the compressibility check are you sure you checked use? Check that out. And when nothing happens when you choose encode are you sure that you have give GKnot the directory of Nandub? You must specify the nandub.exe file to get it to work. But I'm to tired to think properly know so if this soesn't work write to explain good what the problem is.
I was glad to help out. Many people use many different progs to get the job done. You just have to test the different ways out and then decide for yourself.. Have fun and keep tryin...

And thats happening every time when i try to check the compresibillity.
Huh....hard life......
What can i do?
It seems that your system is a little instable
Instead of pressing the now radio button press save & encode with the use checked with 5%. Write in a name and save. Choose only first pass and when it's finished you can load that comp check far down on the screen. Then the same value should come up. If this doesn't work try to unsinsatll eveything and reinstall it and if it still doesn't work a tip is to uninstall Windows. I guess that you use win 98 cause you get that problem. But what is your system it could be fun to know.
Ok.
This is my sistem:
1. MB Epox KT133
2. CPU Duron 650Mhz
3. HDD Seagate 20Gb 5400
4. DVD ROM Toshiba M1612
5. CD ROM Toshiba
6. Video Card LeadTek GeForce 2mx 400 SH Pro 64MB wTvOut
7. Sound Card Guillemot MaxiSound MUSE

My win98 was recently reinstaled....1 week a go....so in dont think that is an os problem.
Tell me about your sistem Erci.
How much free hdd space do you have? Since you have only 20 gb from the beginning.
This is my system (the important)
Chaintech 7AJA mainboard hate it
70 GB hdd one IBM 307030 and one IBM IDE 100 (the other is 66)
AMD tb 950 mhz
384 mb sdram
that's the important stuff. if you don't have enough space that might be your problem with your bluescreen. Make sure you have at least 7 gb of hdd space before you start ripping and this may not be enough anyway.
Hmmm...maybe u have right.
I ripp the movie in to a partition and i convert it in to other. In the convertion partition i have more then 3gb free......
Maybe is important to tell u some:
The dvd disk is ntsc and is a chinese ilegal copy....free zone disk.
