I'm trying to import a Xvid clip into After Effects 6.5 but I received this message: "After Effects error: retrieving frame from video stream". Anyone what could be the problem? The frame rates on both (Xvid clip and After Effect) are set to 23.98.

might be a problem with the file, you could try running it through virtualdub first. maybe scan for bad frames first. won't cost nothing and doesn't take that long.Last edited by LT. Apps like After Effects don't work well with codecs like XviD. You might want to try DivX for decoding since they tend to impliment work arounds. Otherwise try saving as huffyuv or something like that.Comment
