dvd to divx which one?

iam going to get a philips portable dvd player that plays divx... i use dvd decrypter then use shrink then nero to burn movie to dvd....what tool can i use to convert a dvd to divx....iam so new to this excuse the newbie question....

AutoGK or Staxrip will be better for u.BTW,use Xvid to encode instead of Divx.Players that support DivX also r able to play XVid.

U can also try Mediacoder.
Freeware and looks very promising.I have just used it and was pretty satisfied wth it.
