    divx 5 pro first pass

    hi.

I would like to know what params can be changed in the second pass without having to redo the first pass.

    Thanks.
    Greets.

Changeing resolution is definetly an absolut no no.
Changeing deinterlace settings are also a very bad idear, I think.
And don't change bitrate by a lot.

Other than that I don't think there is any thing critical.

But personally I always redo the first pass, it takes about 15 sec. more to setup, then I can go to sleep.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

The only settings you can change are most probably those built into the codec. As khp mentioned, resolution, deinterlacing and others like smoothing and subtitles, should remain unchanged. I believe changing the bitrate shouldn't require you to redo the first pass.
