Need Help With Converting Dvd To Avi

i recently used a program to convert one of my dvds to an avi format. by the way i am very new at this. the program i was using was called dvd-to-avi. After i had finished doing everything i was left with six files one was a text document, one was an .IFO , and the rest were .VOB. now i dont know how to finish converting these files to an avi. format. thanks for any help
