What is the quality of the original capture? you can capture directly in Virtualdub using uncompressed avi (or divx if your cpu is fast)...but you need lots of space. I personally prefer MPEG4V2 (divx 3.11).

The news may not have reached the UAE, Divx 5.0 is not the best, there's plenty of bugs (my opinion). I find Divx 3.11 to be the best codec to date, that's my choice though. Lots of people use it, and even now lots of media is still encoded in divx 3.11---for an alpha codec its really good.

If you use DivX 3.11 in nandubs SBC you can see that it'll wotk flawless. Nothing to say about that.

That's not the codec's fault. It's your business to fix any interlacing artifacts.

mirovideo mjpec codec hardware to divx

miro video does not alow to capture uncompresed frames
this capture board capture avi at 768x576,720x540 and so 328...
but only with her hardware codec. It„s great for editing video
but when i convert avi files in divx the colors are low, image is darker and tho movements are strobes (only rapid movements)
              i have a p3 700 mhz, hdd scsi , 256 ram

if u want quality then use these settings:

                NO RECOMPRESSION
                YU12
                320*240
                25/30fps
                CD quality audio

This will take some hdd space, so make sure u use something like AVI_IO or use an NTFS partition

Then convert to DIVX or MPEG2.
