    Continuous problems

Ok some might remember me from ages ago when I was trying to convert AVI to DVD. Nero wouldnt do it without messing up the audio sync. Well under the advice of a few, i switched to AVI2DVD. Except ever since, only one conversion has worked. Every one I do now just messes up. With either the video just playing for a random amount of time and going back to the beggining or the voice being a good 15 seconds out of sync.

    Can anyone help me please?
I have tried the 3 different encoders in AVI2DVD and all result in some form of error.
I have FFDShow codecs installed too.

I thought it could be an error with my hardware so I ran a CPU test, mem test, Motherboard test and a HDD one. All came back with no errors.

Please someone help me or inform me of a program that can actually do what it says.....

The system I am using is as follows, more than capable I would say of converting....

    AMD 3200+ 64
Nvidia 250GB motherboard, biostar I am thinking....
    2GB Corsair Performance RAM
    200GB SATA Seagate HDD

      Can you elaborate on that?
How long does a conversion take?
I usually do a 4 pass conversion and leave it over night.....

avi to mpeg is not long with cucusoft, You can do trial run but it will leave water mark, nerovion is still the same is depend how fast is your computer

2-3 hours for 4-6 hours movie with dual core
4-6 hours for 4-6 hours movie with my single core Dell system

Thanks NightTran. I will give it a go.
Time isnt really an issue, I just wanted to know how long to set my alarm for to wake me up so I can do the nero stage.
Nero usually takes 90 minutes to do a 2hr video, which is how long the video is.

I use the old freeware DivXToDVD, which supports XviD too, and have converted a dozen or so without glitch.
