does divx to dvd allow you to select a seperate audio stream for input?

see that's the way i like to do it. TMPGEnc allows it. there are other ways though as described already. i do suppose even if you do not wish to buy it, you can get a trial that will at least get the project done.

try cucusoft you can try for the whole thing ( it leave water mark), you can either convert to dvd file or to MPG then use nero to put to dvd with menu
when ever I do this the volume is very loud
Talk about the AVI file container, and the Divx/Xvid codecs that are most commonly found in AVI files
slide the arrow ALL the way to the right!
then under "video" select "direct stream copy", then go to "file" and select "save as" give it a name and hit "save" that's it. check if enough boost and proper audio/video sync. if you are lucky this will be enough.
if this is not enough of a boost, then i'd demux it like anony said, but i use belight to apply the boost, then re-mux it after. try the above first though.
