Judging from that pathetic Olive Color, I guess you are using XP. Well, in XP you need to delete one of your MP3 codecs. The non-professional one. Im sure you installed the professional Fraunhofer. Delete the other one.
What you do in the bathroom, echoes throughout the hallway.

I have the same problem using Windows XP. So how do you delete the other mp3 codec? Im not sure where it would be located.

Click start -> control panel -> sounds and audio devices -> hardware tab -> audio codecs

Just a thought. Are you trying to write to an existing file on your drive? Say, Xmpeg will output to a file called video.avi, and you have got such file in the targeted directory. If so, have you got that file highlighted and its details shown on the left-hand-side bar?

DocBledsoe was right. I disabled the non-professional mpeg-layer 3 codec which was called "advanced" on mine and that fixed the error message. Thanks Doc
