    framrate problem?

i have a problem with the framerate of a pal dvd converting it to divx
sometimes my encoded movie is not playing fluid, but with (it seems to me) with the wrong framerate. what am i doing wrong?
in flask i set the framerate always to 25 f/s
    is this correct?
why is sometimes my finished movie playing "stiky"?

What resolution and bitrate did you use? And what other settings as well?

      400x320 at a bitrate of 1000.
      i use flaskmpeg 594.
i do not deinterlace the video. on the second tab of flask i leave the direct stream copy of the audio (i multiplex it later back to the avi with vdub), on the post-processing tab i set HQ Bicubic Filtering and check the Keep aspect ratio box.

Hmm, I don't really see anything wrong there. Can you set Flask not to process audio instead? You can work on extracting the audio separately anyway and with better output quality (Use Vob2audio or graphedit). What codec settings did you use?

well, the divx 5.0.1 1-pass with a bitrate of 1000... i can't explan this to me, but i will try to process the audio separately like you sad and have a look at the originated viedo file.
          i'll let you know.

Just get your video problem solved first, before considering processing audio as well, which may add to the problem. Good luck there.

try a different method of encoding, if it works then its flask thats the prob

or set the cpu usage higher

              what spec machine u got?

i tried to encode another film now, and the problem of the "stiky" playing of the film happens just ad "random" times. can this problem be frame-size/resolution related?

                  use DIVX 3.11alpha!

and a different DVD ripping method....

                  flask has alot of problems.
