    sound - BASS!!! help!

    Hi there.

I hope someone can help me.

I want to get alot of BASS from an audio track for my video that I am making.

What software is there to do this so it can pick out the bass and make the BASS go louder?

    I hope you understand

Setarip - I have just tried to look at the options in wavelab but there is nothing close to bass at all!

        Help!

        What software do you use?

cooledit has no option to do this at all setarip - maybe I am looking in the wrong position.

sound forge does not have it either..

I've not much experience in sound editing, techno, but I can tell you that, in order to increase the bass, you need to amplify the lower frequency range (approx. 60-200Hz). May you find it in anyone of those programs.

                  OK, I follow!

But what software would you recommend, I have:

                  sound forge
                  cooledit
                  wavelab
                  goldwave

Tell me what other software I need please? What frequency is it you are wanting me to lower? (I know it is not the sample rate)

                  Thanks Enchanter!

I would kiss u people!!!!!! (woops...sorry....I am too hyper)

Done it, I used cooledit pro. I increased the dB giving it a 10dB boost.

How ever, I need more but not to lose quality, if u know what I mean.

It isn't a really good bass flow, instead it's like "booom....." but it needs to FLOW. Oh, it's hard explaining!

What you did was actually to amplify the whole range of frequency of the soundtrack. What you are supposed to be looking for is amplification of the sound at the lower frequency range (The one I gave you is approximate, but should work well), while the rest of the frequency range remains unaltered. But, if what you did more or less achieves what you wanted, that's good enough.

If flow=duration . Find the frequency in the graph and stretch it .

hmm....don't quite follow but I have managed to make a bit more bass using cooledit 2000.

How do I "Flow" it like u were saying?

                            used cooledit pro

                            Thanks Enchanter and Setarip!

Basically I kept increasing the "bass boost" and the loudness and normalised it 3 times and bang, perfectemon!

I sure do hope that anyone listening to your "audio" won't blow up their hi-fi speakers, seeing how much much increase to the volume (or bass) you have done.
