    XVid Encoding + AutoGK

    Hi all,

I've been manually encoding my DVD's for quite some time with DivX. I recently thought I should try XVid using AutoGK.

What I like in AutoGK is that I can add jobes and encode more than one film at one go. This is contrast with my previous way where I used TMPGEnc to encode one DiVX.

However, after reading the tutorials and having a go I was left very dissatisfied with the quality of my output. I left the size at 1400MB which is much more than what I usually used for DivX. The output was average and some times (Czech Dream for instance) unacceptable.

Is there any tool similar with AutoGK I can use that would allow me to access more settings? I'm not sure whether the quality came from the fact I cannot access more settings with AutoGK or it was just an XVid thing.

    Thanks in advance.

i'd say a combination of both, not being set up for higher quality output-- try MeGUI for absolute control
