    Capturing over 4GB

Hi there. I would like to know if there is a way of capturing AVI files over 4GB? I have used avi_io but TMPGENC doesn't open it. I have heard about VirtualDub using OPENDML, is this true? How can I do this? Is there any other software which will let me capture avi files over 4GB?

    Please help.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I think the 4GB limit is caused by your filesystem (Fat ?), the old avi fileformat was limited to 2GB, this has been overcome with OpenDML avi, I have done captures larger than 25GB (using virtualdub), but I'am running win2k with ntfs filesystem.

Thanks for the reply. I have 4 OS installed on 2 hdd's. I tried NTFS but the problem is that it captures for 30mins! when I play back, hisses pops crackles and picture is snowy for 10 mins so video lasts 30 mins!

      help?

How do you the segmented format in VD when capturing? or OPENDML?

      Thanks

OpenDML is default in the newest version of vd(v.1.4.7), if captureing in vd does not work for you I have no clue what is causeing problem.

        sorry
