Recommendation as alternativeto ConvertxtoDvd needed

Hi everyone!
as a rule Convertx2Dvd has done me and my Avi`s proud, but lately I´ve had a few conversions with "freezes."
I checked of course with the original avis and they were fine.
So.....
this leaves me with one or two open questions.
Well, whatever, can someone recommend a very reliable alternative.
I`m only interested in programmes which provide me with professional quality and results, like vso.

I've used Nerovision, but try TMPGEnc Plus and TMPGEnc DVD Author as others recommend either one!!!!
Also AVI2DVD....

I use TMPEG Encoder Plus + DVD Lab Pro, and have excellent results. TMPEG DVD Author does not support subtitles and doesn't allow professional menus creation.
