VirtualDub - "Use the "audio skew correction" - found by "clicking "Interleave" under the "Audio" dropdown menu.

(Make certain to set BOTH "Video" and "Audio" to "Direct Stream Copy")

It that case use Nandub instead. It's a hack of VD but it can handle vbr audio.

Note there may be no problem with your movies. It may be a bug in divx 5.x I would revert back to divxd 3.11 alpha, and if neccesary divx 4.xx (disallow any option to play back divx 3.11 content).

          Use GDIVX for playback.

ok, that skew thing worked. my audio is fine now.
but i still have problems with the VBR audio , when a divx has VBR can i save it in the same way as i did with VDUB ?

Did you try to use ND. If you did just choose the skew correction and save the video by pressing F7. Ofcourse you need to have direct stream copy. Try to save it as another filename or in another dir to be sure to have no problems.
