    Stupid me (help please)

Say when I right click on a movie file on my hard drive and hit properties to see what type of file it is I get [Type of file: windows movie]. What type of file is this and what type of conversion would I need to burn it. I have searched for awhile but the only thing that comes up is info about windows movie maker 2 or windows media player. Thanks

        Should be an .wmv file.

In the folder where the file is.... on the taskbar of that folder.... click on tools.... folder options.... view.... then uncheck "hide extensions for known file types".... apply.... ok......then you should be able to see the file extension of your media file.
