Tool for DVD to AVI Conversion

Hi folks,

I was wondering if there is a "Self-contained" ... "Portable" Freeware program that can convert DVD to AVI?

I have found a Portable program to convert AVI to DVD and works great ... it is FAVC0.93 ... so now I like to have something similar to this for DVD to AVI.

Magic DVD Ripper is a great program but, if you want freeware, try <a href="http://www.divx-digest.com/software/autogk.html">AutoGK</a>.

@ jmet ... my Major problem with AutoGK is that it is NOT a "Portable" program ... meaning the applications needed to run the program are not "Self-contained" in it's own folder. For example like FAVC0.93.

I doubt it if AutoGK would consider making his/her program Portable!!!

I wish Author of FAVC0.93 would consider making a Freeware program to do DVD to AVI conversion ... or if possible just modify existing FAVC to do forward and backward conversions.
