I understand what u r saying but I fixed the problem and still the quality is VERY POOR, I do not know why.

U r now leaving the spirit of DIVX 3.11alpha/MSMPEG4v2. We will all sadly miss the spirit from you, u were the heart of this spirit.

I am going to try your suggestion. I am now in the middle of downloading GordianKnot and will install divx 5Pro w/o Gain.

I have been having a terrible time lately with compressing an Mpeg file to AVi with good sound, starts OK then, it gets totally out of sync! very annoying. I use VirtualDub for this and did not have problems in the past. Then all my sound codecs disappeared and I had to start installing them from scratch, never worked the same since...
By the way is it possible to have too many audio codecs installed in your computer? Just a thought.
I guess I am doing something wrong, so your suggestion is a GO!
Will let you know how it works...
