Merge MPEG files with 5.1 surround sound

I've always used TMPGEnc 2.5 to merge short MPEG-2 files, but that only works for 2-channel audio. I now have a DV camera (Sony DCR-SR300) that makes MPEG-2 files in 5.1 surround sound, but when I use the TMPGEnc merge utility to combine several scenes (mpeg files), the audio is converted to 2 channels. Apparently TEMPGEnc doesn't support surround sound.

Can anyone recommend a simple utility for merging multiple MPEG-2 files that supports and maintains 5.1 surround sound?
