Looking for freeware Avi/divx repair prog.

I working avidemux, and while dvdflick is far less complicated, avidemux has somethings I wanna play with. Avidemux asks me to unpack bitstream, I do so and in the middle of unpacking everything(Avidemux) crashes. Someone recommended repairing the avi. Is there something maybe to just unpack the bitstream and save it that way. Gspot shows that its Divx Style"packed bitstream" AVI

Are you using the QT4 interface? Try the original GTK interface and see what happens.
Also you can try Divfix.

I am using Avidemux 2.4 GTK+. Mean was trying to figure it out but I cant send a sample that does the same thing. Every time I cut the original into parts for sample and save it, it unpacks bitstream fine. I think its because when I try to save the sample it uses the smart save, when I try the whole file no smart save option.
