    Problem with Nandub, Virtualdub

Good day everyone. I'm trying to rip a dvd and to convert it into a divx file for the first time.

    I failed here:

I used the VFAPI proggie to create the avi-file, I had also ripped the audio stream into a mp3 file.

Now I wanted to load the avi into Nandub or Virtualdub but I got this error message:

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn't locate decompressor for format "vifp" (unknown)

Virtualdub/Nandub requires a Video for Windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video.
DirectShow codecs, such as those used by Windows Media Player, are not suitable.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm an absolute newbie and don't know what to do, I hope someone experienced with this stuff could help me. Either you reply to this message or send me an email to anders@hingis.de

    Thanks a lot!!!
