    How to play on DVD?

Alright, I have the video and the audio file and before I put them together, I was wondering what to do to play the burned movie on a DVD player? Like what kind of file should I make the movie or what programs I should use.

Assuming you're creating a CD, you can make a VCD out of it. TMPGEnc will allow you to do so. Just follow the wizard and off you go.

Well i got the video and the audio combined, but the picture turned out to be stretched out to a box like shape instead of widescreen. How do make the video widescreen? I tried the 16:9 setting and it turned out the same way. Also by the middle of the movie the sound was becoming out of sync. Does anyone have suggestions if that is fixable.

          do 16:9 NTSC/PAL

also, if possible change (in the video tab, the first setting box) to 16:9

If it is blocked out, load the VCD Template, then load the unlock.mcf template

the do those settings and encode.

When u are in the editing mode (where u see a picture in the middle of the screen/program)

There is a button at the bottom right hand corner(ish) called LOAD, hit that and select the unlock.mcf in the extra directory of TMPGENC. Then do those settings I told u and hit encode.

Make sure u load the VCD template FIRST!!! Then the unlock.mcf template.

So after I make the mpeg I just burn it on a CD and I can play it on my DVD player?

Yes, assuming you have followed the Wizard's instruction well (Remember to choose (S)VCD and not DVD).

also make sure you're tv plays ntsc/pal, whichever one you chose to encode in

also it will play on your dvd player if it plays copied CD's (home made)

like my dvd player cant play copied CD's so theres no point in creating vcd's in my case

                              good lucl
