i checked out the clip.
i'm not keen on 4:3 as 16:9 is better
also when enlarged to full screen u can see artifacts. so they are room 4 improvements. but still a good job.Comment

use 2 pass
the max key frame interval should be: fps*10
try some filters
use diifernent codecs with different appz eg
divx5.02pro + Gknot
divx3.11 + nandub
experiment!Comment

look at various guides eg doom9 and uncasmsComment

Now I've found an filter combination that shows some results:
deinterlaced (mode: blend)
field bob (smooth/smooth)
Is there any prog that can add a logo into my clip without recompressing it and thereby loosing quality? Adobe premier doesn't care what I set it to do, it still recompress whilst Virtualdub won't "append avi segment" claiming that the two videoclips have different fps - 24.0000 and 23.999998. I've opened both clips and set Video/framerate - "Change to 24.000 fps" but it doesn't care.
If anyone has a solution to this then I'd be most gratefulComment

sorry to break the news but that is not possible.
also why spoil a rip by adding a logo?Comment

i'm not sure, but i know you cant add a logo to your film without reencoding.
u could create a few second clip with your info and logo on it before and after the film, which can be joined in vdub.Comment

I think you've got me wrong, I've tried exporting my logo using Premier but, as I said, Virtualdub won't merge it with my ripps using "append avi segment" claiming that the two videoclips have different fps - 24.0000 and 23.999998. I've opened both clips and set Video/framerate - "Change to 24.000 fps" and exported them but when I try to "append avi segment" it still says that the fps isn't the sameComment

is your logo a video/animation/image
if its an image then use vdub's logo filter.
