blu-ray movie on hard disk to H.264

iv'e just burned a movie from anydvd hd to my hard drive.
can somebody please tell me how i can now change it to H.264
format ( just like the movies you can find on any bittorrent site )

Sorry, can't talk about ripping movies (even HD ones), or bittorrent downloads.

It certainly is possible to convert movies to H.264, but it's not what you would call consumer level technology yet, as it's a series of fairly complicated steps. You might want to check out http://forum.doom9.org to see what they're up to on this issue.
