I see a thread from 2002 answering this question and I wonder if there's a modern update to those methods?
'Those methods' were mainly VirtualDub and I tried it with VirtualDubMob 1.5.10 that I've got and it had problems with it being a VBR AVI - so I didn't get it done that way.
My plain 'VirtualDub' is version 1.6.14 which is perhaps too old so I'm currently looking for a more modern version as suggested in that 2002 thread.
But, meanwhile, is there a 2008 fix for this?
And how about knowing the makeup of your AVI? VDubMod was saying something like split and recompress the avi with audio at the original rate - I didn't try that but if I wanted to how would I know the original rate, etc., of my AVI?
regards,
ab
