How can i convert a protected asf to avi?

    Hi,all

i downloaded a protected asf from a music site as an authorized user, when i try to open it with my mediaplayer 7.1,it'll automatically search for a valid license online, well, the problem is,i wanna watch it while im offline. My friends told me i've to convert it into another format like .avi to do that.i tried Virtual Dub 1.3c which still has .asf support, but seems this file is in wmv2 format,Virtual Dub is not be able to open it......

i really like this mtv,and i have pay for it,but i cant even watch it,that's pretty stupid...So anyone can help me out here?

Yup, that's copyright for ya', big pains no real gain
Anyways, screen capture, would be the easiest method, Camtasia and Snag-it are two popular such tools.
