DVD Authoring questions... Currently using WinAVI

    Hello,
I'm trying to convert my AVI file to a DVD. So far I've used Win AVI, and then tried Windows DVD Maker. I've found that WIN AVI produces a much better quality picture when it authors the DVD, but it gives no options for menus or anything like that

I am liking WIN AVI because when it converts the AVI to DVD, it applies a nice softness that gets rid of some of the pixelation on the video. When I view the .vob file it creates, the picture quality looks great. But again, there's no options for DVD menus and the like.

Also, when I put this DVD into my home DVD player, a part of the picture's sides get cut off (the picture is not completely wide screen... something like .9 aspect ratio). I don't know if that's a problem with the DVD burning tool, or with my DVD player. When I put the DVD into my computer and play it at full screen, however, this problem does not occur.

So, I'm hoping someone can recommend a DVD authoring program that would provide great picture quality like WIN AVI and that won't produce some problem with the sides of the picture being cut off.

    Thanks so much!
