    Somebody Help!!!

I have this avi I downloaded and I'm trying to burn it in VCD via Nero 5.5, but every time I add this particular avi to the list, Nero shuts down with some kind of error. I've tried using the Panasonic and LSX-Mpeg encoders and TMPG, but the conversion always comes out messed up ( usually solid-color blocks in the vid). Can anyone help me by either telling me where I'm going wrong or downloading the video and seeing if it works for them?

Visit vcdhelp.com, you may want to apply filters in TMPGEnc. Do blocks appear in your original avi? Also, there is a special template, suggested by chelly, available on that site that may be of use.

Hey Batman, the original is perfect. I'll check that site out. Thanks.

Can I send you the vid or tell you where to get it from Batman? I've tried everything for over a week and still nothing's right.

You may provide me with a link, provided it does not contain controversial or pornographic content. However I doubt it will be of much use, have you checked out all of vcdhelp.com, and applied filters such as noise reduction. Have you considered the tlbro template? There are also more filters in TMPGEnc. check out the vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc or other sections.

Yes, I've tried so many different ways, I'm going crazy. Here is the link to the download page and no it is not pornographic.

Well I'm running out of ideas, maybe you should have the latest version of TMPGEnc? Check out this:

              and

Also, do you have divx 5 installed? TMPGEnc will not work with it.

You'll know for sure, check the add/remove section for a divx502bundle. Uninstall that, and install the appropriate divx codecs, divx 3.11 alpha and/or divx 4.xx

Also, if your file is encoded with divx 5.xx you'll need to re-encode it to divx 3.11 alpha, or divx 4.xx.
