I've downloaded the newest version of FlasKMPEG and VirtualDub, I wanted to convert several VOB files of one DVD film to DivX format.
In FlasKMPEG:
Settings for DivX:
Video:
Keyframe every 1 second,
Compress control set to 75,
Data Rate set to 620KB/s;
Audio:
MP3 with a setting of: 56KB/s, 22050Hz, Stereo.
Settings for "Global Project Options":
On panel "Video":
Frame size: 720*480,
Time base: 23.976 fps,
Video structure: "Reconstruct progressive images" was checked, "Deinterlace video(slow)" was not checked,
iDCT Options: "Auto Select" was checked.
On panel "Audio":
Audio Mode: "Decode audio" was selected,
Sampling Frequency: "Same as input" was unchecked, then select "48000Hz",
On panel "Post Processing":
"HQ Bicubic Filtering" was checked,
"No crop" was checked,
"Keep aspect ratio" was selected as 1:1.
Other settings were set to their default value.
...In a word, when I was converting these VOB files, the settings are the same.
The conversion of VOB to DivX was OK, and the DivX files can be played quite well.
But, when I wanted to merge these DivX files into one file, there are some problems:
In VirtualDub:
Open one DivX file, then in the "Video" menu, check "Direct Stream Copy"... just as it is told in this website, then I wanted to append another DivX file... but it said that the "Audio sampling rate" of the two files are different! : 7000 vs 6999, I've no idea about this, same settings generate different results! I DO know that DivX files can be merged together only if they have the same video and audio parameters - and I think I did it - as said above.
Of course these DivX files can't be merged together and were left on my harddisk alone
I wanted to seek for some software that can merge VOB files... another way that can make a single DivX file - But I just couldn't find a software can do the job - some software said that they can but after trying I found they are nouse - FlasKMPEG can't recognize the file format they generate.
Anybody has some experience on such work?
Thanks in advance!
