I'm an old timer and not that computer literate, so bear with me.
I'm running the latest updates for Windows (home) XP, and the Windows Media player is the latest V 11.0.5721.5145.
I ran into a problem when trying to play an AVI file from my new surveillance camera system which converts it's own file type to AVI. I've had no previous problems with AVI files that I can remember.
I finally did see a message stating I “could be†missing an XVID CODEC---and here I am having no idea what I need – or need to do.
Many thanks for some help. Pappy44
