Help with making VCD's

First thread, thanks everyone-I read the FAQ and couldn't find anything-sorry If I missed the answer to my question:
I took a Divx file, split it in 2 (virtualdub style), and used nero 5.5 to make a VCD.... all went well... until I put it in my vcd-compatible dvd player, and saw the image stretched to the full size of the screen.... I played with the options on the DVD Player menu, but I couldn't get it to play how I usually watch my dvds on my tv (4:3 ratio, with 2 black bars) help!

Most people use TMPGenc and just burn with Nero...its just so much more easier

However, you will most likely have to re-encode search NERO it would have options to specify the appropriate the aspect ratio.

thanks for replying, but I really can't find the options to set the aspect ratio in nero. Does anyone know where it is or how to set it? I appreciate everyone reading this

no, it's in TMPGENC, hit settings after you loaded in the vid and template for VCD. It's in the advanced tab
