DivX MP4 option

I have DivX 5, and in the codec config is a page where there's an option to convert your avi to MPEG4
(It's on Advanced tab, on bottom, where it says MPEG4 creator)

How do I use this?

I just started using DVDx, and it creates an avi file, how do I use above option to create an MPEG4 file?
Is it worth the bother?

The divx mp4 creator window in the advanced tab, is for coverting divx avi file to mp4 files. Select an avi file in the 'Input Divx AVI file' box. And press convert.

To create mp4 files directly when encoding, just check the 'Write divx mp4 file' checkbox in the 'Divx codec' tab.

But playback support for mp4 files are currently very limited, and you have to use AAC audio.

On the plus side, the mp4 file format offer lower structural overhead than avi files.
