If you can see the video and hear the sound you don't need any additional codec. If the video is stretched (vertical or horicontal, not in time) it may be encoded with the wrong aspect ratio or tha aspect ratio for VCD/SVCD that is not 4:3. You could resize the windowsize by hand or you use a player like BSplayer that allowes to choose 4:3 or any other ratio.don't trust in guides
