    mp3 codecs problems

i tried to normalize a divx audio UNDER WINDOWS XP using virtualdub, winamp, dedynamic,etcc...
the only problem is that the default mp3 codec in xp doesn't go above 56Kbit, so i installed the Radium one, but even this one doesn't give me all the bitrate possible: it doesn't allow me to use 64kbit 44100 Stereo, but only in mono...so i have to use 96 kbit 44100 or 48000Hz but it gives me too much big files...how can i solve this ?? I obviously checked the "show all formats" tab..but the problem is still there....

    Thanks !!!

    Worth a shot..

I don't know anything about XP, but I'm running 98 right now...something was messed up in my regestry at one point, and then the Radium Codec in Virtual Dub didn't show ANY bitrates to choose from. After a re-install, it worked again (but with the 'ghost' Radium codec still in there with no bit rates to choose from). If this doesn't help...well, I tried.
