I'm converting mulitple .mov files to a single .avi file using EO Video. I'm using the MPEG-4 codec. I'm a completely clueless novice when it comes to doing this.
I've successfully converting and joined the files, but I've got a question about quality and resolution. I'm trying to not exceed the combined file size of the .mov files (their fairly small, about 8MB each and 10 parts for a total size of about 80MB.)
The .mov files appear to be 320x240 resolution, which is the same resolution for the .avi file (but the quality is much worse as an .avi) The file size is reduced to about 50MB, increase the resolution does increase the file size, but doesn't have much impact on the quality.
Is there a way to improve the video quality without increasing the end product file size beyond the original 80MB? Secondly, if there isn't much to be gained in the way of quality by changing resolution or such, other than just producing a larger file, I'm be happy to continue to the conversions the way I have been.
Thanks
