Your question is totally hard to understand. Do you want to convert DVD to VCD, to SVCD, to DivX, to XviD, MP4,...?

I'm sorry. I have a friend that wants to take a dvd movie and put it on a cd.
In his Dell laptop, he has a dvd reader/cdrw. Any format that would allow the movie to be played on a dvd player is what he's looking for.

As I mentioned above, VCD (mpeg-1), XviD, DivX, or MP4 are some popular formats which can be encoded from DVD (mpeg-2) and bunred to CD with the reduction in filesize although the filesize reduction is different from one format to another
