From DVD to ipod format

What's the best way to convert DVDs to ipod's format. Tried clone DVD mobile but ended up with a/v sync issues.

With PQ DVD, the main movie won't start!! Why? I tried it with a DVD image mounted to a virtual drive.

Btw, when I turned the video_ts to an mpeg2, it worked. Why would it not work straight from a DVD?

Nope - not encrypted. The menu screen just stayed there - and pressing play did nothing.

The directions say to press play, pause the video, choose your audio quality, etc. The play button does work normally.

Hpw frustrating - tried another DVD - this time a real one - not a mounted image - and I can't get the record thingy to turn red!
