    Converting TV files to DVD

    Hi,

I have spent some time trying to fig this one out but am confused and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

I recorded some stuff from TV to my HDD using a gamebridge. The files are MPEG. That is all I know, It does not specify MPEG 4, 3 etc. Is it assumed it is MPEG4?
I have 2 MPEG files I want to merge onto one DVD totalling ~7.5GB

I want to put these on DVD to watch on TV. I do alot of ripping and burning/backups of my store bought DVD's and am familiar with that end of it.

    I have Nero, Ripit4Me,Imgburn,cloneDVD, shrinkit4me etc.

Do I need to convert these files first or can they be burnt to dvd and watched?

I would like to keep the quality decent and if need be don't mind using DL DVD+R. or I could shrink them.

    Any guidance is greatly appreciated.

    Cheers

Since you have Nero, you can convert these mpeg 2(most likely) using Nero Vision Express. It also allows you to adjust the bitrate you'd like to convert in. It's not the fastest or best, but does a decent job and since it's already on your PC, it's also convenient to try.

You can also try TMPGenc, ConvertXToDVD, and 1ClickDVDMovie to convert those files with....they all come with some type of free trial periods.
