    Decoder to play TS file

    I have just sarting to use DVD shrink and making back ups to my hard drive. I would like to play off my hard drive rather than burning discs. Is there a way I can back up my movies and just play off hard drive? I travel alot

          Welcome to the forum.

          MPC and VLC are both free and great for playing movies from the hard drive.

          VLC will also automatically play an ISO, if you back up with Shrink that way instead of video_ts.

              what kind of laptop comes with a dvd burner and no software for playing dvd's?

                  i have found that if i use windows media player it will play my movies that i have ripped to the computer weather i use dvd shrink or dvd fab decrypter. is there a better ripping software to take dvds and put them on the hard drive or is dvd shrink and fab decrypter all their is?
