Burning from a laptop

I have a laptop that I burn DVD's from, but the DVD's won't play in my regular home DVD player. They used to burn and work fine, but all the sudden they burned DVD's will only work on my laptop. Also when the DVD is about done burning I get a message the the DVD burning process has failed. Please help. Everything used to work just fine.

What program are you using to burn with?

Try a USB external. Sounds like your laptop drive is fading.
