App to capture from TV card and encode H264 real time?
Hello people,
I would like to ask an advice for my task. I need to transfer my PAL VHS vacations videos to the PC.
I have a BT878 based tv card where I'll connect the VCR, and would like to capture from that source to H264 format at 768x576 in real-time.
So I don't want to capture the video to MPEG2, Uncompressed nor to any other format and then transcode with a x264 tool.
What is the best application to do this in real-time?
Nero Vision seems easy but does it really uses the best H264 encoding available that will give me the best quality/compression ratio?
Hardware:
P4 Prescott 3.0Ghz + 1GB DDR400
ATi HD3850 AGP 512mb (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, WMV9, VC-1, and H.264/AVC encoding and transcoding)
