    Best program to de-interlace?

So, i use a capture device that produces a pretty good definition H264 file. I have used Streamclip successfully to cut it as necessary. However, the problem is that the feed is interlaced, and the device doesn't have a de-interlace option. There is heavy action involved so there is a decent amount of the combing effect present when playing back on computer monitors.

I know there are players (e.g., Gomplayer) out there that work well with H264 and that will force de-interlacing on playback, but i've been looking for a good way to take this already encoded h264 file, which is interlaced, and make it de-interlaced in the file itself, so that everyone who opens it will have it as de-interlaced.

Does anyone have any ideas? Please?
