Task: Perform a study on H.264 encoding/decoding parameters that affect interoperability by aiding in the creation of a common profile that will ensure the widest range of interoperability across various vendor solutions, to include the relationship of parameters that support a specific application domain. Prepare a white paper that will include both a theoretical model that describes the encode/decode process, the end-to-end latency expected, visual performance tradeoffs, network impacts, and recommendations and guidance for integrators to adhere to the best utilization to include preferred parameter settings of H.264 assets.
