Quicktime compress H.264 jump to full width on Windows?

First Time posting here...

Startup Video record in animation codec as .mov on mac.
1280 X 720

I try other dimensions (multiple of 8)

QuickTime 7+ install on My Mac and Windows Machine

Whenever I use H.264 as the compression codec, both in a final QuickTime format .mov or MPEG-4 (mp4), it is playing beautifully on Mac, but on Windows the width of the video are jumping (while playing back) to the full width of the screen and back to the width of the video itself.

I try almost everything under the sun, not working.....

Maybe the Video Card ?

It seem that most recent Windows machine work.

It does this on a older tower with windows xp...

Sounds like a playback codec problem then. What are you using to play the H.264 file in Windows (XP)?

Using the last quickTime Player

Using the last quickTime Player 7 something...

I will make a small sample to send to testers to check on their machines.

I suspect an hardware limitation on that older tower

I would be surprised such as system would be able to handle an advanced codec like H.264, as I think it would even struggle on MPEG-2 with a slightly higher resolution. Even a 3.2 GHz P4 would struggle with HD H.264 without GPU assisted decoding. Same with most netbook platforms.
