I tried to use overlay mode in bsplayer and some other players for the tv-out on my ati aiw 7500. This works fine for divx but not for XVID encoded movies. Is overlay not possible for XVID? Is it my ATI card? The only way to watch XVID movies on my tv is to set the tv to clone mode and not use overlay, this is watchable but using overlay with DIVX is superior to this. Why are all recent movies encoded with XVID if overlay is not supported?
